TOS Crew Review : Reading Eggs

Photobucket

Recently, we had the opportunity to try out an online site that helps teach children to read through a fun interactive world full of games and fun! The site is called Reading Eggs. Geared specifically to emerging readers in the 4 - 7 year old age range, Reading Eggs was the perfect phonics supplement for our daughter, Ava Mae. She would get up each morning asking when she could get on the computer to play Reading Eggs

We started out by having Ava Mae take the assessment quiz which placed her in the correct level. She then began working through the lessons - many days I would have to ask her to stop and take a break as she would have remained on the computer playing the fun games which were teaching her various new phonics concepts. Reading Eggs has over 100 lessons geared toward the emerging or new reader.

I do need to make note that we did have some issues early on with Ava Mae's lessons "hanging" or not advancing on the computer. Customer Service at Reading Eggs was great and were able to help us get past our computer issues. As it turned out, we were not running the newest update to Flash.

You know I love when companies give a free trial and Reading Eggs has a great offer of 14 days free and they do not even require a credit card. Pricing starts at $9.95 for a one month subscription but, there are many options that you can learn about here.
